Susan Carpenter was born and raised in the nearby suburbs of Philadelphia.  She received her Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University in 1973.  Ms. Carpenter then embarked upon a career spanning over 25 years in the private banking sector, where she served as a financial planning and asset manager for Merrill Lynch and Payne Webber/UBS.  Seeking to utilize her background and experience in a more service oriented and personalized arena, Ms. Carpenter obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers School of Law in 2007. 

During her tenure as a law student, Ms. Carpenter served as an intern/clerk to the Honorable Joel B. Rosen, a Federal District Court Judge for the District of New Jersey.  Ms. Carpenter also worked for the Legal Department of the National Association of Securities Dealers, in securities enforcement. Ms. Carpenter then joined the law firm of Puff & Cockerill, LLC, as a law clerk.  Upon her graduation from Rutgers Law School, Ms. Carpenter was admitted to the bar, and invited to join the firm as an Associate Attorney in the Wills, Trusts and Estates department.  Ms. Carpenter's substantial experience in financial planning, trust drafting and administration provides a unique advantage to her clients.

Ms. Carpenter currently resides in Camden County. She is an active member of the Gloucester County and Camden County Bar Associations.
