Jonathan R. Ivans graduated from John F. Kennedy High School, Willingboro, New Jersey, in 1983. He received his
Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from West Chester University, graduating cum laude in 1987. While at West Chester University, Mr.
Ivans was a member of Pi Gamma Mu, which is an international honor society for those students studying in the social sciences. Upon graduation,
Mr. Ivans attended Widener University School of Law and graduated in 1990.
Upon graduation, Mr. Ivans clerked for both the Honorable Paul R. Porreca, Presiding Judge in the Criminal Division-Camden
County, New Jersey and the Honorable Leon A. Wingate, who also sat in the Criminal Division-Camden County.
Since relocating to the South Jersey
area in 1992, Mr. Ivans has become active in local community affairs. He served on the East Greenwich Planning Board and presently serves on the
Community Dispute Resolution Committee as a volunteer. Mr. Ivans also served as Public Defender for Greenwich Township for four years. He is
active in both the East Greenwich Soccer Association and East Greenwich Baseball.
His areas of practice include personal injury, workers' compensation, bankruptcy and municipal court matters.
Mr. Ivans is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey and the United States District Court of New Jersey.
He serves as a court appointed arbitrator in the Superior Court of New Jersey for both Burlington and Gloucester Counties. He also serves as a
court appointed arbitrator in the United States District Court of New Jersey. He is also a member of the Gloucester and Camden County Bar
Associations.
