Barbara Barclay Moore grew up in Clayton, New Jersey having graduated from Clayton High School as Salutatorian of her class. She also graduated with perfect attendance, having never missed a day of school, nor was she ever late from Kindergarten to 12th Grade. Ms. Moore received a proclamation from the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders for her accomplishment.
After graduating from Ursinus College with a degree in Political Science and a minor in communications in 1989, Barbara Barclay Moore pursued her law degree at Oklahoma City University School of Law. As a third year law student, Ms. Moore worked at an Indian Legal Clinic in Oklahoma City visiting many tribal lands in the vicinity. Ms. Moore graduated as a member of the Who’s Who Among American Law Students and was President of the Iota Tau Tau (a women’s legal fraternity). Ms. Moore began her practice devoting her time to Family Law, Domestic Violence, and personal litigation in 1994. For the past 16 years, Ms. Moore’s law practice has been devoted to Family Law, Domestic Violence, Adoptions, Name Changes, Custody and Child Support matters. Ms. Moore serves as an M.E.S.P. panelist in Gloucester, Camden and Salem Counties. She is a member of the Gloucester County and Camden County Bar Associations and a member of the Family Law Committees of both Gloucester and Camden Counties. Ms. Moore was an active chairperson for the Gloucester County Family Law Committee from 1998 to 2003. She has also been selected as a presenter for the “Putting Children First” Seminar which is administered through the Gloucester County Court. Ms. Moore is a prior member of the Board of Directors of the PASA. She is also a volunteer as a speaker for the Laws of Separation and Divorce Workshop which is a project through the Gloucester County College for the Center for People in Transition. Ms. Moore also donates her time representing clients through the South Jersey Legal Services on a pro bono basis and she is also a member of the Inns of Court. Further, Ms. Moore is also appointed by the Court and her fellow colleagues to perform personal property mediation. Barbara Barclay Moore is a copper certified wrestling coach through USA Wrestling and a volunteer for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Charity. Ms. Moore has participated in the Mother’s Day Breast Cancer Walk for the past eight years. Ms. Moore’s parents are lifelong residents of the Borough of Clayton and prior owners of Barclay Funeral Home in Clayton. |
